Интересует, что за аббревиатура на лобовой плите между смотровым прибором мехвода и пулемётом.

Честно говоря, я даже ума не приложу что это означает, есть только два более-менее приемлимых варианта - название завода, хотя я такого чет не припомню, или же Руссланд, т.е. скорее всего такая маркировка была на некоторых машинах, идущих на восточный фронт. ИМХО конечно же...

Vitek, Вить, спасибо за попытку ответить. Название завода вряд ли, разве что может у них шла какая-нибудь кодировка не связанная с названием предприятия. Про Руссланд также отпадает, первое фото - Африка. Есть ещё подозрение, что это не заводская, а транспортировочная маркировка. Кроме того ещё присутствуют 2 буквы мелким почерком:

Про Руссланд также отпадает, первое фото - Африка.
Спорно - машины, предназначенные для Russland'а, вполне могли попасть в Африку и наоборот.

Коля-Болгарин, Очень вряд ли. Если африканки точно попадали на Восточный фронт, например в составе 5ТД и 66 zVb, то наоборот я очень сомневаюсь, так как в Африку техника шла только в тропическом исполнении.
Есть мнение, что первая литера слова "Рейх..."

Пришли к выводу, что возможно так маркировали танки на некоем резервном складе в Магдебурге(?), т.е. перевалочной базе между заводом и танковым подразделением.

А фото других типов Панцеров с такой марикировкой имеются? Читал, что и Тигров получали со склада в Магдебурге (Burg), но фотографий новых машин с такой маркировкой не помню.

Такая маркировка присутствует в основном на технике поступающей в 1942г, из Тигров может быть наверное в 501-503ттб, тебе видней :)
Молнии видел на тройках и Прагах.
Ну а я больше четвёрками интересуюсь, вот ещё интересное фото: Весна 1942, на заднем плане ИМХО танки в африканском камо прибыли на нашу грешную землю также с резервного арсенала:

Что интересно, маркировка была на Ф2 так же еще и на башне и на корпусе по бокам.

Да, кстати говоря, судя по имеющимся тут и в танкограде фото новых Ф2, можно наверно предположить о заводском нанесении креста, осталось только узнать, какой завод выпустил Ф2 на фото в первом посте...

Меня в этом фото больше заинтересовала заводская "аккуратность" покраски поддерживающих катков. И нафига после этого тратиться на маски (те же самые Quick Whell)? :D

Да, видел это фото. Мелом написана дата 16 июня 1942г. Вот только интересно, это завод-изготовитель или перевалочная база/арсенал. Сдаётся мне, что второе.

Моё нулевое знание немецкого позволяет прочитать: "Новый длинноствольный PzIV в заводских казармах", но это общая фраза построенная по принципу "что вижу о том и пою" ничего не даёт. Жаль подписи нет.
